The final conference of the international research project “New challenges for public services: Integrating service user and workforce involvement to support responsive public services in tough times“ took place in Brussels on January 30, 2015.

Throughout the duration of the project (2013 - 2015) we were delighted to be a part of an international team of researchers from the King's College London (UK), University of Copenhagen (DK), University of Milan (IT) and University of Utrecht (NL).

The conference was attended by the representatives of the social partners from countries covered by the project as well as invited guests from the EU Commission, policy experts, representatives of service user organisations and other research institutions.

In the conference, national country study findings were presented in comparative perspective and the connections between service user involvement, social dialogue and workplace practice were examined. Marta Kahancová from CELSI presented the findings of the Slovak national report. In addition, our guest speaker Peter Goliáš from INEKO gave a presentation on INEKO’s experience in running internet portals evaluating Slovak schools and hospitals. Rebeka Krahulcová from the Union of High School Students of Slovakia and Juraj Stodolovský from the Trade Union of Workers in Education and Science of Slovakia also acctepted our invitation.

The national report for Slovakia written by Marta Kahancová and Mária Sedláková is avaliable on the project’s webpage, where you can also download a final comparative report.
