Jan Drahokoupil is senior research fellow and project director at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES), University of Mannheim. His publications include Transition Economies (with M. Myant , Wiley, 2010), Globalization and the State in Central and Eastern Europe (Routledge, 2008), Contradictions and Limits of Neoliberal European Governance (Palgrave, 2008, co-edited), and a number of journal articles on political economy and development. Jan is Associate Editor at Competition and Change. He is currently editing a special issue of Europe-Asia Studies on political responses to the crisis of 2008.
