Olena Fedyuk is currently a research fellow at the Center for Policy Studies. She holds a PhD from the department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at CEU. Olena defended her dissertation “Beyond motherhood: Ukrainian female labor migration to Italy.” on Nov. 10th 2011 with magna cum laude distinction. She was Marie Curie Social Anthropology (2006–2009) and Fulbright (2002–2003) Fellow and also conducted over 15 months of fieldwork on Ukrainian labor migration in Ukraine and Italy. Her main academic interests include transnational migration, care-work, labor transformations, female employment policies and migration policies.
