Collective bargaining and social dialogue are at the heart of fair and sustainable workplaces — and getting them right requires ongoing exchange between researchers, practitioners, lawyers, and employers.

On 20 May 2026, the 8th annual Conference on Collective Bargaining with Trade Unions, Social Dialogue and Corporate Culture 2026, organised by 1. VOX s.r.o., brought together this diverse mix of voices in a unique setting: the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Czech Republic plant in Ovčáry near Kolín.

The programme spanned corporate culture and social dialogue at Toyota, the EU Pay Transparency Directive and its implications for collective bargaining, case law developments, and the latest challenges in collective negotiations in the Czech Republic — rounded off by a guided tour of Toyota's production floor.

CELSI researcher Monika Martišková contributed to the conference as a participant in the closing expert panel discussion — a wide-ranging exchange of practical experience from collective bargaining and social dialogue, covering topics such as trade union release time, information and consultation rights, and collective bargaining from the perspective of foreign-owned companies.

She was joined in the panel by:
