At Pohoda festival 2026, CELSI Scientific Director Martin Kahanec — last year's laureate of the ESET Science Award in the main category Outstanding Scientist in Slovakia — took part in a discussion at the ESET Science Aréna on the topic "Where is Slovakia going?"

Slovakia ranks among the European countries with the highest outflow of educated people. The discussion brought together literature, research, and economic data in a conversation about trust, dignity, and the country as a conscious choice. What makes a country worth staying in? And how do we welcome those who come to us?

Kahanec was joined by Tomáš Hudák and Ivana Rapoš Božič. The discussion was moderated by Zuzana Kovačič Hanzelová.
