Since 2025, Tomáš Šarközi has started a researcher position at CELSI Bratislava, focusing on quantitative analysis of labor market. As internal PhD candidate at the University of Economics in Bratislava, his research specialize at active labor market policies in the context of marginalized social groups. He previously earned a master’s degree in psychology at Comenius University in Bratislava, where he conducted research on prejudice and stereotypes toward the Roma minority. This research later inspired him to study economics, as the most negative attitudes toward Roma are often expressed in the domain of employment. He pursued his studies in economics in Austria at the Central European University (CEU) in Vienna, where he completed his degree with a thesis on the impact of public works schemes on employment outcomes in segregated Roma communities.
