How Can We Build Healthier and Fairer Workplaces? Final IncreMe(n)tal Training on Inequalities at Work
On Monday, September 22, CELSI held the third and final training of the IncreMe(n)tal series in cooperation with the Slovak trade union OZ KOVO. The session was led by Tomáš Földes from the Slovak National Centre for Human Rights.
This time, the focus was on the workplace environment and inequalities at work. Participants discussed how different factors — such as age, gender, or the type of employment contract (standard vs. atypical) — influence well-being and may lead to workplace discrimination.
Special attention was given to the legal framework and regulations that can help prevent such inequalities and serve social partners in assisting employees.
👉 With this event, we successfully concluded a series of three trainings:
- the first focused on the theoretical and regulatory framework for protecting workers’ mental health,
- the second addressed the impact of automation and digitalisation on psychosocial risks,
- and the third explored inequalities and discrimination in the workplace.
Together, these sessions provided Slovak trade unionists with a rich set of tools, knowledge, and strategies to better protect workers’ well-being in the metal industry.
This educational activity is part of the IncreMe(n)tal project, which examines the mental health protection in the metalworking industry across seven countries: Belgium, Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, and Italy. The project is funded by the European Commission and implemented by CELSI in cooperation with OZ KOVO.
