Martin Kahanec, Scientific Director and Founder of the Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI), published an article in Denník N on the anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising about which events, and in what way, society should commemorate.
“Every country must find its own language of memory. If we remember history truthfully and with respect, it heals wounds and strengthens society. If not, it deepens divides,” stressed Kahanec.
