Barbora Holubová, CELSI´s researcher, attended a workshop hosted by ADAPT (Italy) on closing the gender pay gap (GPG) in public services in the context of austerity by identifying complex causes of its persistence.

CELSI's Marta Kahancova, Tibor Meszmann and Maria Sedlakova just published their new article " Precarization via Digitalization? Work Arrangements in the On-Demand Platform Economy in Hungary and Slovakia" in Frontiers in Sociology.

She presented results from CELSI´s earlier project PRECARIR devoted to precarious work and social partners responses in Czechia and Slovakia and other CEE countries.

CELSI's researchers Barbora Holubová and Jakub Kostolný participated in the London workshop on the gender pay gap (GPG) in public services and trade unions´ strategies on how to close it.

CELSI's researcher Maria Sedlakova met with ARTUS-CEE project partners in Bucharest to discuss trade unions' strategies on key issues in European social dialogue.

Her presentation aimed to give participants an overview about the current state of organizing in Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Germany, Poland and Slovakia.

The CELSI team will contribute with two chapters on trade union development in Czechia and Slovakia

CELSI together with EU-level social partners EPSU and HOPEEM undertook a survey in ten EU countries and co-organised two regional meetings within the project "Strengthening social dialogue in the hospital sector in the East, South and Central Europe".

During the EC's meeting on the economic agenda, Kahanec stressed a need for brave EU leadership:

"Europe is in a trap of fiscal, monetary, trade, demographic, and regional imbalances. An innovation deficit hinders economic growth."
