EGRUiEN workshop in Zaragoza: advancing research on the twin transition and social dialogue

March 17, 2026

CELSI researchers Monika Martišková, Simona Brunnerová and Adam Šumichrast participated in the EGRUiEN project workshop held on 11–12 March 2026 at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zaragoza.

The meeting brought together national teams from across Europe to further develop the research design and comparative approach of the project across four key sectors: automotive, energy, on-demand transport, and care.

Over two days, participants discussed national cases, research protocols, and analytical frameworks to better understand how social dialogue can support fair green and digital transitions.

CELSI actively contributed to the workshop discussions. Monika Martišková delivered several presentations within the automotive and energy work packages, while Adam Šumichrast presented on potential case study selection in the on-demand transport sector, focusing on the Slovak context.

The workshop also highlighted broader challenges linked to the twin transition, including changing skill demands, job quality, and the role of social partners in anticipating and managing these transformations across sectors and countries.
