TransEuroWorkS je inovatívny, multidisciplinárny a viacúrovňový výskumný projekt, ktorý poskytuje analýzy a politické odporúčania pre budúci svet európskej práce a sociálnej ochrany. Poskytne nové, integrovanejšie chápanie toho, ako možno lepšie a aktívnejšie riadiť zásadné zmeny na trhu práce a v európskom kontexte prostredníctvom politík sociálnej ochrany na vnútroštátnej úrovni a na úrovni Európskej únie (EÚ). V centre tohto výskumu sú tri kritické štrukturálne transformácie trhu práce, t. j. ekologický prechod a dekarbonizácia, technologické zmeny (automatizácia a digitalizácia) a internacionalizácia pracovnej sily (prostredníctvom mobility v rámci Európy a prisťahovalectva).
S dôrazom na vplyv týchto zmien na nerovnosť, chudobu, vzdelávanie, dopyt po zručnostiach a sociálne vylúčenie sa projekt TransEuroWorkS zaoberá tromi hlavnými otázkami:
Ako dekarbonizácia, technologické zmeny a internacionalizácia pracovnej sily ovplyvňujú svet práce v Európe? Ako sa EÚ a členské štáty môžu stať odolnejšími a schopnejšími reagovať na tieto zmeny a ich dôsledky? Aké sú dôsledky meniacich sa foriem práce a pracovných vzťahov na blahobyt a sociálnu ochranu európskych občanov? Podporou a zlepšovaním schopnosti Európy hodnotiť a aktívne reagovať na tieto budúce transformácie prostredníctvom prístupov založených na dôkazoch prispieva TransEuroWorkS k posilneniu postavenia regiónu v celosvetovom meradle a k zlepšeniu sociálnej súdržnosti a demokracie.
Koordinátorom projektu je Leidenská univerzita (Holandsko).
